Mayor & Council

Dear Visitor,

Welcome to the City of Olney’s website. Olney, Illinois is located in south central Illinois and Olney is the county seat for Richland County. We are not only proud of our white squirrels, but also our commitment to community improvements, outstanding schools and healthcare facilities, employment opportunities, recreation and city services, in addition to a diverse group of civic organizations and places of worship.

We are in hopes that this website will help you understand why Olney is a great place to visit or to live and work. Unfortunately, these web pages will not really tell you how wonderful the people are in Olney. You will have to visit to really appreciate why this is a great place to live and work. Hope to see you soon!
