 Please take notice that the City Council of the City of Olney will receive sealed bids for the purchase of the fee simple interest in three separate parcels of real estate.

Parcel #1 has the following Tax ID Number: 11-03-126-006, commonly known as 533 W. Chestnut St., Olney, IL, and is currently being used as undeveloped land.

Parcel #2 has the following Tax ID Number: 11-03-206-404, commonly known as 321 E. Lafayette St., Olney, IL, and is currently being used as undeveloped land.

Parcel #3 has the following Tax ID Number: 11-03-128-002, commonly known as 403 W. Elm St., Olney, IL, and is currently used as undeveloped land.

Bids for the purchase of the aforesaid interest in the above-described parcels are hereby invited and will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Olney at Olney City Hall, 300 S. Whittle Ave., Olney, IL, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, until 4:00 p.m., on Monday, January 9, 2017, for the opening of the bids.  Said bids shall be addressed to:

and each bid shall bear the legend to be associated iwth the Parcel being bid.

Parcel #1 shall bear the legend: "BID-SALE OF 533 W. CHESTNUT ST." and the name and address of the bidder.  A minimum bid of $1,085.00 will be required.

Parcel #2 shall bear the legend: "BID-SALE OF 321 E. LAFAYETTE ST." and the name and address of the bidder.  A minimum bid of $781.00 will be required.

Parcel #3 shall bear the legend: "BID-SALE OF 403 W. ELM ST." and the name and address of the bidder.  A minimum bid of $480.00 will be required.

All bids must be submitted on bidding documents which may be obtained from the City Clerk of the City of Olney.

All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Olney at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2017.

The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding.  The City Council further reserves the right to review and study any and all bids and to make a contract award within 30 days after the bids have been opened and publicly read.  The City Council reserves the right to accept the bid determined to be in the best interest of the City.
